just two things

I finished spinning and plying the merino! It started very bright, but toned down to this -

about 300 yds, 2oz, 17 wpi, - a nice soft laceweight.

I made these 3 preemie hats (about 8" circ) from the same babyweight yarn, size 4 (3.5mm) dpns, and about the same stitch count. Very different patterning. The top left is a sideways garter stitch hat (similar to this one, but without the cable) done on 28 stitches. The top right is a broken rib pattern (3 rows of p1k1, then 3 rows of k1p1) on 50 stitches. The bottom one is a rolled-brim stockinette hat on 36 stitches.

I like the garter stitch one the best.
